Noise-exposed workers
Hearing loss is permanent. Catching it early is not optional.
Any worker regularly exposed to noise above the workplace exposure standard should have a baseline hearing test and then be re-tested periodically. This is common in construction, manufacturing, engineering, forestry, agriculture, transport and the trades.
We test at your workplace using headphones in a quiet room. Each test takes around 15 minutes, results are explained to the worker on the day and a written report goes to the employer with any recommended follow-up.
What we check
A workplace hearing test includes
